In just 15 days from the presentation and official start-up of the mobile application of the Town hall for direct communication with the neighbours, there are already more than 1.100, the residents of Xàbia who have downloaded the App Xàbia Connecta.
It is a totally free application and very easy to download. Through this means of technological communication, you can connect directly with the City Council, and report incidents in the urban equipment, receive notices on your mobile and make the municipality of Xàbia better.
This App It also gives access to other services in addition to incidents such as:
- -The municipal bands giving notifications and information of municipal services.
- -News: Reports on the management and dissemination of municipal activity, proposals and activities.
- -Agenda of activities: Agenda of cultural, sports and social activities of Xàbia. Schedule, place and schedule of notices of the beginning of the event.
- - Citizen surveys: Through the APP, citizens will be allowed to participate through surveys that will inform citizens' opinions on different issues and their suggestions.
- -Telephones of interest
- -Trade guide
So far, around 80 incidents, have been sent by citizens through this App, for the imminent management and solution by municipal workers.
Last Tuesday at approximately 12 o'clock am a fire started on the riverbank of the Gato el Gorgos next to my house.
Thank you to the firefighters for coming quickly and dealing with the fire otherwise my house could have been destroyed.
On Friday at 3.30 in the morning again a large fire started on the riverbank again thank you to the firefighters.
The problem is the riverbanks are covered in cane it is very dry on both occasions the fire was fueled by this dry cane and would have traveled across the river bed to my house and others on this side if the firefighters had not acted.
The river here is full of cane and foliage providing an easy pathway and plenty of fuel for a fire.
I think it is imperative for the council to cut this foliage it is extremely dangerous and serves no purpose.houses could easily be burnt for the sake of council workers spending one day clearing the riverbed
