La Xarxa de Dones of the Marina Alta will award the 8 awards of March of 2017, on the occasion of International Women's Day, to María del Mar Esquembre Cerdà and the women's collective of Pedreguer, Femme Força. These awards, which are given from 2002, will be delivered the next day March 2 within the program of commemorative events for the day of Women.
Esquembre is Professor of Constitutional Law, member of various associations defending the rights of women and noted for its contribution to the progress of Law and Gender studies, and articles on equality.
The Women's Collective Femme Força Pedreguer is a feminist group dynamic activity in defense of equality and against gender violence.

It will be at 19:30 p.m., leaving from La Plaza de la Constitución de Dénia to the end of Calle Marques de Campos, where the manifesto of Women's Day will be read.
