Starting this Monday, different food chains update prevention measures in the face of the situation caused by COVID-19. Both Mercadona and Consum have reinforced certain aspects to take care of clients and workers.
During this week, as both supermarkets have reported, the progressive installation of protection / separation methacrylate partitions in the box section will be carried out. In addition, the mandatory use of gloves by customers at Mercadona is adopted, of the same type used in the Fruit and Vegetables section, as well as gel hand disinfection before accessing the facilities.
A few days ago, Mercadona was already marking new measures which have now been expanded. From Consum they indicate that they are in constant communication with the health authorities to establish preventive measures according to their indications and to expand those already established.
