Today, 17 in May, the International Day Against LGTBIFobia (a term that refers to the rejection of the collective of lesbians, gays, transsexuals and bisexuals) and which commemorates the elimination of homosexuality from the list of mental illnesses by the World Health Organization.
In the two institutes of Xàbia there have been awareness-raising activities, demands and defense of sexual freedom, including reading a manifesto in each of the centers. In addition, as every year, it has been carried out the development of a video by schoolchildren of the municipality.
