Several agents of the Civil Guard of the province of Alicante, assigned to the custody of the vials of the Pfizer vaccine in their transfer to residences, have already been immunized despite the contradictory orders from their superiors and the Ministry of Health.

After the different controversies of political officials who skipped the protocol to receive the first dose, as well as relatives, this week it was known that a dozen Civil Guard agents who were guarding his transfer were also vaccinated. This irregular event occurred in a Xàbia nursing home on December 30, 2020, as health sources have confirmed to this writing.
However, as this media has learned from the Civil Guard Command, the number of those involved actually amounts to 16, destined in different units of the province of Alicante. None of them was a priority group and they all coincide in pointing out that it was the health personnel themselves who offered this dose given the justification that they had already interrupted the cold chain, so the leftovers would be discarded.
Civil Guard admits that the number of agents involved in irregular vaccination amounts to 16
When verifying that this offer was repeated in several residences in the province, among which were several in the region, the agents in charge of the custody of the vaccine informed their superiors, at the beginning of January 2021, for which the General Chief met with the Ministry of Health and referred the matter. This was clarified by Sanitat, indicating that no civil guard could be vaccinated until summoned. for this, by the competent body, as long as the protocol so dictates.
Immediately, on January 10, 2021, the Chief General issued instructions to all subordinate units ordering that no member of the Corps accept such offers. In addition, as explained by the Command, there is no evidence that, after this order, more agents have received the vaccine.
Now, after contacting this drafting with sources from the Civil Guard and the Dénia health area, Comandancia has admitted that the second dose of the 16 agents who received the first has also been administered. This happened 3 weeks after the first dose, in a very different context.
When they were called to receive the second dose, there was already a climate of rejection in the streets of these irregular vaccinations. It was in a residence in Pego where the second dose was administered to the highest ranking Civil Guard agent of those involved, who was in command of the operation of the transfer of vaccines on December 30 from Dénia to the residence of Xàbia. This civil guard, who according to this media has had access to work in the El Verger barracks, was administered on January 19, the day before. It has not transcended the reason why he went to said residence or who gave the order, since the center did not want to make statements. It has only been possible to find out that the health area was aware that he received immunity with the second dose after contacting him on the 20th in order to attend the new vaccination and thus settle the immunization. Upon receiving the appeal, he informed them that it was not necessary since the day before it was supplied to him at the aforementioned Pego residence.
Knowing all the aforementioned events, from the Alicante Civil Guard Command they insist that, by the vaccinated agents, "At no time was there any premeditation or malicious act".
