The «enceseros» of Benitatxell will be protagonists of an exhibition at the Maritime Museum of Barcelona

An important day for Valencia, the 9 October, has been chosen for the inauguration at the Barcelona Maritime Museum exhibition Nits Ink, A sample that includes a documentary by Felipe Escolano and fourteen portraits, as well as panoramic and details of fishing, Jesus Pobre photographer Jake Abbott.

The exhibition will show ten portraits of "enceseros" or fishermen of pobleros cliffs who risked their lives in an adventure for survival as Ambrosio Bolufer Pastor, AmbroseAntonio Yuste Català, Iuste, Francisco CalderaJoaquin Pastor BeviaVicente Mayans Bolufer Vicentet of Maians or Guillermo Estarlich Guillem's Cafeterias.

From the town hall Work is already underway for the sample to reach Poble Nou de Benitatxell since, according to the mayor, Josep Femenía, "This sample and documentary about fisheries has to be seen in El Poble Nou de Benitatxell and must be part of the cultural heritage of the municipality, the enceseros deserve it, just as in their day they deserved the ethnographic and historical study of the fisheries of titled cliff Nits i Peixos to them Pesqueres of Cingle promoted by the Cultural Association Puig Llorença that I presided at 1998, year of the third centenary of the constitution of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell ".

For Jake Abbott, author of the images, this exhibition "It is a great opportunity to present a work that we have done with great affection for 13 years both from the photographic and audiovisual point of view.
