The security and emergency bodies of Benitatxell were prepared to face any risk situation

The Local Police, Civil Protection and DYA ambulances collaborated in a drill to expand knowledge in case of possible emergencies. It was a week ago, when the security and emergency bodies of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell conducted various drills throughout the municipality.

The drill was raised with situations that occur throughout the year and that help improve performance protocols and response times. Among the most prominent for its difficulty, there was a rescue in an area of ​​difficult access. Afterwards, the entire transfer of the injured was coordinated and the two ambulances were escorted with the victims to the Health Center.

There were a total of four injured, two of them with cardiorespiratory arrest and two others with ailments of accidents such as polytrauma, injuries, bruises, back problems, etc. As regards the technical part, the deployment was enormous. The drills featured an SVB ambulance, another SVA, a medicalized 4x4, two rapid intervention vehicles, a motorcycle and a pumper truck. In addition, DYA Valencia collaborated with seven health emergency technicians, two nurses and a coordinator.

The Councilor for Public Safety, María José Ivars, lived in first person the work carried out by the security forces, first as a victim in one of the drills and then following all the exercises closely. Ivars highlighted the great skill of the three bodies, which perform an essential task. “We are very fortunate to have these great professionals, who always watch, day and night, for the safety of our citizens. I am fascinated by the enthusiasm and effort they always put in everything they do ”He said.

On the other hand, both the Local Police and Civil Protection headquarters highlighted the “Great coordination” of all participants and the need to perform this type of exercise. "Drills are essential to identify possible errors and correct them before a real incident occurs". The images and videos of the drill may be viewed at the tenth anniversary ceremony that will be held by Civil Protection next December.
