At the end of the current academic year, it is already known what will be the day of the beginning of the next regarding 2017 / 2018. The Ministry of Education, Research, Culture and Sport has fixed the 11 in September as the first day of classes at all levels of education (Infant, Primary, Secondary, Baccalaureate and Vocational Training).
Regarding the end of classes, in Primary and Secondary Education will be the 22 of June, and in Secondary Education, Baccalaureate and Vocational Training on the 20 day of June.
Exceptions
In the second opportunity Basic FP, the classes will start the 14 of September of 2017 and end the 25 of June of 2018. The Basic Qualification Training Programs will begin the 21 in September and end the 18 in June. Regarding Adult Education, classes will begin on September 18 and end on June 15. Language classes will begin classes on October 2 and end June 27, and regulated and artistic sport instruction will start 18 in September and end 13 in June.
Holidays and non-school days
In all courses and grade levels, the Christmas holidays will be from 23 from December to January 7, both inclusive, and Easter holidays from March 29 to April 9, inclusive.
On the other hand, during the school year, the following days will be festive and non-teaching: October 9, October 12, November 1, December 6, December 8, March 19 and May 1. To these days it is necessary to add the days that are agreed in the school council of each municipality by the days of free election that correspond to them by local holidays, etc.
