The update of the coronavirus situation by municipalities has been facilitated, as every Tuesday, by the Ministry of Health. On this occasion, the number of infections in the Dénia Health Department has increased by 33 new positives, a considerable rebound, taking into account that 4 days ago, the number of new infections was 20.
With the new conditions, there are 9.770 people in the Marina Alta who have tested positive since the start of the pandemic. Currently, in the region, of the total positives, 78 are active, which causes the accumulated incidence to increase and go from 30,28 infections per 100.000 inhabitants, to 45,42 cases.
In terms of deaths, the region has registered 1 new death, which brings the total number of people in the region who have lost their lives as a result of this virus to 199.
In Xàbia, there have been three new infections since last Friday, the same cases as in the previous day, which amounts to 1439 the total of neighbors who have tested positive for COVID since March 2020, having active, at the moment, 13 cases. In this way, the accumulated incidence in the town of Xabiera continues to increase, standing at 47,09 cases per 100.000 inhabitants, somewhat higher than the regional average, ranking at the level of risk, although low.
