The XVIII International Festival of Xàbia obrió late yesterday its doors on Avenida Augusta. Local authorities and queens of Fogueres de Sant Joan accompanied the cultural association organizing an inaugural walk through this genuine fair, which brings together exhibitors in 22 mounted by residents of the municipality cultural peculiarities and cuisine of their home countries.
Until Saturday night, you can visit the stalls representing England, Belgium, Venezuela, Uruguay, Brazil, Morocco, Colombia, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Germany, France, Ecuador, Peru, Indondesia, Philippines, Italy, Argentina, Madagascar and Ukraine.
Spain will also have a space, the region of Andalusia and the municipality of Xàbia, which together with the promotional material will also offer tastings prepared by the association of restorers of the villa (ARX).
As usual, the three afternoons of the fair (from 18 to 1 at dawn) there will be numerous musical performances and ethnic dances in the venue, with samples of typical Peruvian or Filipino dances, soul, jazz, batukada, funk, samba, rock, in addition to exhibitions of students from different dance academies. A children's party with inflatables, workshops and an acrobatic pizza display has also been prepared for Sunday.
