The network of employment offices will remain closed from this Monday for face-to-face attention to the public, maintaining its internal operation to guarantee the registration and renewal of the demand for employment and the processing of unemployment benefits in the Valencian Community, by agreement of the Directorate of the regional public employment services (Works) and state (Sepe).
With this extraordinary measure, the aim is to comply with the recommendations of the health authorities for public health reasons and to avoid the displacement of citizens and face-to-face contact.
Commitment of the National Employment System, which integrates the autonomous and state services, is to ensure that current unemployed people continue to receive their benefit and that those who, due to the impact of the current crisis, lose their jobs can see their benefits recognized in the shortest possible time.
To this end, the simplification of administrative procedures and the reinforcement of telephone and telematic attention to users have been agreed, for which the corresponding contact lines have been set up in each employment office.
As long as the extraordinary situation generated continues due to the current state of alarm, the public employment services will proceed to automatically renew all job applications at the expiration date, in order to facilitate the subsequent recognition of the corresponding unemployment benefit.
Aware that the care of unemployed workers constitutes an essential service, from the management of Sepe and Labora has reiterated the appreciation of the effort of public service personnel and the call for collaboration to users for the proper development of these goals.
