The Minister of Universal Health and Public Health, Ana Barceló, will hold a meeting with Public Health this Monday in order to implement in the Valencian Community the measures included in the agreement reached this Friday in the Plenary of the Interterritorial Council of the National Health System with coordinated actions between all the autonomous communities to respond to the current moment of increase in positive cases of COVID-19 throughout Spain.
In this way, it is expected that the new measures will come into effect throughout the Valencian territory as of their publication in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana (DOGV) next Tuesday.
These measures affect different social spheres such as nightlife, hospitality, the celebration of different events and the consumption of tobacco in the street. Among others, there is the prohibition of smoking on public roads or outdoors if two meters away cannot be kept, the closure of discos, dance halls and cocktail bars or the limitation of hours for hotel and restaurant establishments, terraces and bars and restaurants with the closing, at most, at 1.00.
Barceló has indicated that "the coordination and standardization of the measures was necessary to achieve greater effectiveness, taking into account mobility and the holiday period in which we find ourselves".
