With a total of 6.680 traffic complaints processed during 2012, the local police of Xàbia is satisfied with the results, since a decline of 45% over the previous year.

This drop in violations, mostly for parking, is attributed to that since SUMA is responsible for the collection of fines citizens are more aware of not breaking the rules, in addition to that from the local police are now also applying sanctions removal points. Also the reduction of tariffs for public car parks has favored its use and thus avoided many bad parking.

Of these, 4.500 have come through telephone calls and more than 3.000 directly to any agent present in the area. This figure has experienced a large increase, which according to local police, "it demonstrates the acceptance and effectiveness of the commitment by the proximity or neighborhood police that is being carried out from the headquarters".
