28.000 euros is what will save the Javea Town Hall in the electricity bill thanks to the latest improvements in public lighting, which is equivalent to the consumption of some 33 homes.
The department of Services and Environment of Xàbia has carried out in the last quarter a series of improvements in the system of public lighting that will report an annual saving of 40.834 Kwh of energy, a consumption equivalent to the 12 standard housing, some 10.000 euros approximately. These interventions have been the repair and installation of LED technology in the Montserrat Caballé square and the Botanic Cavanilles streets, Manuel Vazquez Montalban, Enric Valor and Fray Jaime Ibáñez.
In addition to these projects carried out entirely by the Consistory, the municipal area has also managed two works subsidized by the Provincial Council of Alicante and that will result in another economic savings of about 18.000 euros per year (equivalent to 21 housing). One of them is the replacement of new LED luminaires in the Rafalet urbanization and another one with the same characteristics in the Lepanto avenue.
