The Associations of Merchants and Restaurateurs of Xàbia have issued a statement in which they make an appeal to the local business sector against COVID-19.
As indicated by the different groups, "After the reopening of the hospitality sector after a period of closure and the extension of the hours in commercial establishments, irresponsible behavior has begun to be appreciated in certain establishments, we do not want to point out anyone, but we ask for responsibility out of respect for others".
Faced with this action, the associations make an appeal addressed to:
- The hoteliers and merchants, aimed at complying with the measures and capacities in force in the Valencian Community since March 1, 2021, to face the social and health consequences of the pandemic produced by COVID-19.
- Customers, who for their safety and that of the employees, request that they make use of the masks, respect the capacity and social distance, to ensure that the development of the hotel and commercial activity does not pose any danger of contagion. As well as, that they avoid smoking on the terraces.
- To the authorities, to establish a forceful police control so that all measures are enforced.
In short, as we communicated last year, we intend a joint collaboration, so that one can work and enjoy within this new normality, because if one fails, it takes everyone ahead. And that, the different associations are at the disposal of hoteliers and merchants to report on the application of the COVID-19 measures currently in force.
You have to control the people who smoke on the terraces that sometimes I gave them something and they insult you and respond in a bad way to the waiters.
I think it has to be. Less selfish and smoke before going to dinner or after leaving the terrace.
