Today, Tuesday 10 April, was the day on which Les Corts Valencianes it took to debate the Proposition No of Law vindicated by the xabiera, María Ferrer Miralles, in which she requested to advance the accomplishment of mammographies to the 40 years of age and not to the 45 like at present.
La xabiera, who has attended the parliamentary session, has pointed out Xàbia.com that she felt nervous at all times, "But seeing that the vote has been in favor I felt happy and excited to get all the effort made has had its reward".
And is that, Maria has not stopped fighting cancer since it was detected to her breast cancer with only 42 years, in addition to losing her mother, when she was 41 years, for this disease. The 200.000 signatures delivered last July in Les Corts has made possible that the Consell study the possibility of advancing to the 40 years the age of beginning of the mammographies.
The proposal, presented by the deputy Marian Campello, has had the support of all political parties except Citizens.
Ferrer has indicated to this medium that what he is most proud of "is that everything that I have tried to do and have managed to help others, that in the future this fact is worthwhile to improve the lives of all women". Likewise, this xabiera fighter has stated that "I think it's time to dedicate myself to my family, I think I have done the job and although I will not stop fighting and I will always be available to collaborate, it is time to dedicate time to all those around me and continue with the life motto".
