The latest novel by Xàbia writer Josep Vicent Miralles, nominated for best crime novel in Valencian

The Valencia Negra festival has selected the best novels, published this last year, so that the public can determine the winners by voting, in each of the three categories. In this contest, in the category of 'Millor Novel.la VLCNEGRA', one by the writer and journalist from Xàbia, Josep Vicent Miralles, is nominated. This is 'Estiu', a novel set in the Marina Alta in which, following a stupid crime, the protagonist flees to the coast. There she finds how tourism has provoked, in much of the Mediterranean, a fiction of luxury and exclusivity sustained by precarious workers in a world of false appearances that expels them.

Miralles competes with other authors such as Joan Carles Ventura provides, Mariló Álvarez or Emma Mussoll. To vote for her novel as their favorite, readers simply have to access her work through this link. Voting is open from March 25 to May 8 and the result of the vote will be revealed on Thursday, May 9 during the opening of the festival.
