18 October 2013 - 01: 12

A good group of parents of public school Graüll met yesterday afternoon to demonstrate against the new education law. This new law under the name LOMCE (Organic Law for the Improvement of Educational Quality) is the seventh to be implemented since democracy in Spain and its final draft was introduced was introduced 17 day of May 2013 by José Ignacio Wert, Minister of Education, Culture and Sports and the Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy.

The protest began with a talk given by Professor Raquel Gómez, with the aim of informing fathers and mothers about the consequences that this law will have on the education of their sons and daughters. During the talk they said that this law is the only step backwards in education since the "Wert Law" means that those who have money for education pay for it and who do not get it go back. In addition, it was also revealed that with this new law, public education is at risk, which is the basis of education accessible to all. After the informative talk, the attendees as a sign of protest locked themselves in one of the school's classrooms for a few hours.

During the talk also it reported the departure of buses will be from Javea to Valencia for those wishing to attend the general strike on October 24.
