The Local Police of Xàbia is formed to mediate conflicts

The checkpoint of the Local Police of Xàbia has welcomed this Wednesday an interesting talk about mediation in conflicts. This is the proposal of a neighborhood community mediation service whose objective is to raise awareness among all members of the local police of new ways of working on a day-to-day basis, not only in sanctioning issues, but also in neighborhood communities.

La mayor of citizen security, Pepa Gisbert, explained that it is about improving these professional skills and exposing the municipality to a more professionalized service, closer and more social to the citizen.

The talks began on Wednesday and will resume in September to address social assistance with mediation to the family, schoolchildren and conflicts between neighborhood communities. Gisbert has explained that "In Xàbia this work is already carried out by the Local Police through tutors, road education and UAPS. In total six people, in schools and gender violence problems, but we want to professionalize it, being well trained and prepared in charge of the company KAUKUS ".

The councilor explained that the agents will mediate "in problems of social and neighborhood coexistence, discomfort caused by noise, noise of works and music, discomfort of domestic animals, problems of health or hygiene in the community, occupation of public spaces and problems in the school and family environment".
