For a few days, there have been many criticisms and comments invading social networks for the construction of the median that connects the two new roundabouts on the CV-734 road that connects Xàbia with Gata de Gorgos.
For a few months, the construction works of the roundabouts have been carried out in order to improve road safety and access to nearby spaces of considerable affluence such as the municipal cemetery, funeral parlor or the industrial estate.
Before the visit of the Minister, Arcadi Spain, last January to these works (since they are financed by the Generalitat), it became known that the two roundabouts, located at kilometer 5 and 6, would be linked by a central median to avoid the high speeds recorded on this road.
But the surprise of the drivers and neighbors has jumped when they have observed that the height of the median "it is exaggerated" indicated a neighbor, adding that "the curb is 30 cm". The main criticisms regarding the construction of this median have been directed in the assumption of having to stand aside when an ambulance comes or keep 1,5 m when passing a cyclist, two totally impossible options in this section.
From this writing, it has been tried to know if there would be any future modification in this construction, but for the moment there has been no response.
Likewise, and as previously indicated, the change of direction is prohibited, forcing you to go to the next roundabout to change the direction.
At the moment, a gazebo, the one in the cemetery is practically built and the one located at the entrance to the industrial estate remains to be completed.

They say there are about 300 bars / restaurants in all of Javea, so this "move" for the worse is still improvable!

As always, projects are developed on paper, that I endure it all, or it seems that the politician on duty, as in this case, is going to see the work so why take the photo, since he is not going to circulate there, he cannot ask the citizens of the area to indicate the problems it may cause.
We are going to see the result soon, it will have to be taken away and the money spent will have been used for nothing more than wasting and for a company to earn money.

It's looks very good for me. After enduring so many years the crazy people who circulate on this road. They put speed limits, they put double continuous lines and they kept on passing. Well now…. It is what it is. I was honestly scared to go down this road and even more so when I take my two children in the car.
You will see if it seems so good when you have to overtake a cyclist or a group of cyclists. Or an ambulance, a fire engine or the police has to overtake you. I agree that the speed at which many were driving was wild and what perhaps they should do is put vigilance and good fines. You would see how soon the irresponsible drivers were heeding.
The idea that there are 3 roundabouts in 2 km was already totally exaggerated (roundabouts in cemetery, polygon ?? and detour to Benitachell) and the only thing missing was that disproportionate curb !! We will see how they make special vehicles, ambulances, etc. or when it is intended to overtake a cyclist !! 🤦🤦🤦
