The defense per Sanitat Public Platform of High Navy held an ordinary meeting on Thursday in Pedreguer where they explained the difficulties that many patients have encountered when requesting a second medical opinion in a public hospital other than the district.
The spokesman of the platform, Vicent Bolta, pointed out that in many cases patients have been denied the request they had made to move to other public hospitals of the Generalitat, be it La Fe, Doctor Peset or El Clínico. The Platform criticizes the role of the Commissioner that the Ministry of Health has in Marina Salud. This figure, they say, should ensure that Marina Salud fulfills its contract.
In the meeting the need to build a new health center in Pedreguer also addressed.
