Customs parish del Mar dismisses the quarter with its traditional Christmas Festival

23 December 2014 - 14: 03

Last Sunday 21, the parish of Our Lady of Loreto in Customs del Mar lived a very special evening to dismiss the quarterly activity of groups of Catechesis and Juniors Christmas and congratulate all parishioners who make up this community.

About 300 people gathered at the temple gave the 17h afternoon to witness and enjoy another year, the traditional Christmas Festival which brings together the Christmas performances of the three groups Catechism, Moviment Juniors, Confirmation and Parish Choir. The reception was such that many of the attendees were standing in the aisles and at the entrance of the church.

The celebration began with a theatrical performance on the Nativity of Jesus in charge of the Juniors. A total of 30 boys and girls were commissioned to give shape to a large living crib that reviewed the moments before and after the birth of the Child Jesus.

Rey Herodes was upset at the news of the existence of another sovereign

Thus, the Annunciation to the Virgin Mary gave way to Caesar's edict of voter registration and the appearance of the ángel Gabriel to Joseph. This was followed by the tireless search for an inn by Mary and Joseph to the birth of the child and the commotion and fear that the birth of a new king assumed in Herod's palace where his court, wife, Sibyl and the sovereign itself; They staged and which is one of the key portions of this particular representation. Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar came to Jerusalem following the star (and staged one of the funniest moments of the evening thanks to the spontaneity of the child who played Gaspar) to finally accompany the shepherds to worship the newborn.

Catechism children played carols

Courses first, second and third Catechetical sang to the baby Jesus. In total, each group sang two carols dressed in costumes of shepherds, angels and other characters from the nativity scene themselves. This round ended with the spontaneous actions of the parents of the three courses that dared to sing the popular Bell over Bell.

Parents of children Catechetical performed an impromptu performance

The Parochial Choir was in charge of completing the turn of performances and demonstrate their extensive experience by playing two carols in Spanish and Valencian.

The evening concluded with a raffle conducted by members of the Movement Juniors in which different Christmas gifts courtesy of church members were raffled. In addition, throughout the afternoon, Caritas called for solidarity and anyone who so wished participated with its food offering Kilo Campaign annually celebrates the entity.

Outside the temple, the Comissió of Festes de Deu de Loreto Mare recomposed the cold afternoon offering hot chocolate to all attendees in the courtyard of Catechesis.

Again, the Parish of the Sea He said goodbye with familiarity, joy, laughter and brotherhood to a quarter full of work and dedication before heading to celebrate the great days of Christmas that, of course, have an important aspect for the entire community.   Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus
