The Official State Gazette published today the order regulating the conditions for the mandatory use of masks, announced last week, during the health crisis caused by COVID-19.
The publication determines that this measure will take effect from tomorrow, Thursday, May 21, and will be in force throughout the state of alarm and its possible extensions. The use will be compulsory for all people from 6 years onwards.
As announced by the Government, the use of the mask will be mandatory on public roads, in outdoor spaces and in any closed space for public use or that is open to the public, provided that it is not possible to maintain a safety distance interpersonal of at least two meters.
The exception of the use of masks, is framed in people who present some type of respiratory difficulty that may be aggravated by the use of a mask, in people in whom the use of a mask is contraindicated for duly justified health reasons, or because of their disability or dependency situation present behavioral changes that make their use unfeasible.
Its use is also exempted in the development of activities in which, due to their very nature, the use of the mask is incompatible (such as eating food or drinks)
