The Ministry of Health has updated the coronavirus data with the results of the PCR tests carried out since Tuesday. This new update by municipalities and departments indicates a shot of contagions in the Marina Alta.
Specifically, 181 new positive cases have been registered; a figure that had not been experienced during the pandemic in the region. Very high data in a single stroke, which shows the worst data since last March. With the new infections detected, the Dénia Health Department registers 2401 infections, of which 334 correspond to the last 14 days.
By municipalities, Xàbia registers 32 new positive cases and has already accumulated 329 infections since the start of the pandemic. The cumulative incidence in Xàbia is 275,3 per 100.000 inhabitants. El Verger, a municipality in which an outbreak in a nursing home, with 78 infections, had been confirmed this week by Public Health, adds up to 32 positive cases in the town in today's update.
Dénia, is another of the municipalities that has registered the highest number of infections with 35 new positives, more than double since the last day. Teulada adds 21 new cases, Pego 13, Calp 14, Ondara 7, Benissa 10, Gata de Gorgos 6, Pedreguer 5, Beniarbeig 2, El Poble Nou de Benitatxell 2 and Orba and Els Poblets add 1.
