MACMA assumes Sports and Education competencies

November 25 from 2019 - 11: 09

Last week, the Cultural Association of the Marina Alta (MACMA) held its extraordinary plenary session in which it approved, definitively and unanimously, to expand its competence and assume the areas of Sports and Education. This request from the departments of this area of the region began two years ago, when there was a proposal for the dissolution of the CEMA - Marina Alta Sports Consortium - and the regional need to continue the services coordinated and provided by the entity. So, now is when it has become official and MACMA modifies Article 3 of the statutes.

The president of MACMA, José Ramiro, said that "From the definitive modification of the statutes we will set up a commission integrated by the technicians and technicians of Sports, as well as by the rulers and governors of the area, to define a regulation and establish the bases of the new regional sports network".

Ramiro reviewed the competence growth of MACMA, which integrated 2015 Tourism and 2016 Youth before tracing the path of future areas such as those approved by the municipalities of the region in the latter plenary.

2020 budgets

On the other hand, the extraordinary plenary session of the Commonwealth, held in the Town hall de Sagra, addressed the approval of the 2020 budgets, which were voted unanimously and amount to 192.000 euros, a total that increases compared to the previous budget and that mainly covers the personnel chapter. However, the incorporation of a Youth technician in the last year as coordinator of the Youth Network shows that the MACMA is growing in numbers and services.

Likewise, the manager of the agency Jovi Seser, made a review, in general, of the draft projects of the 2019-2023 legislature: a thickness of proposals that will be agreed through interviews and meetings that from the MACMA will keep with those responsible politicians to censor the needs and opinions of the municipalities that make up the Commonwealth.

Already in the part of the management reports, Seser addressed imminent projects such as the publication of the 2020 Brilliant Calendar, edited by MACMA with the collaboration of the town councils of the region, or the beginning of the efforts to certify the headquarters of the Cultural Commonwealth as a Regional Office for the Promotion of Valencian: a linguistic normalization service that intends to formalize a task that MACMA has uninterruptedly developed since its establishment the 1997.

One of the fundamental appointments within the calendar of the legislature will be two events of great importance for the entity: on the one hand, the 25º birthday of the regional guide the 2020 and, on the other hand, the 25º birthday of the Commonwealth the 2022; celebrations that will be accompanied by a series of activities and events. commemorative
