Although the Cultural Mancomunitat de la Marina Alta (MACMA) has culture as its main axis, in the celebration of the last plenary session it approved to integrate the field of education into its Tourism and Youth competencies.
The competency guidelines were raised through the joint initiative of the councilors and councilors of Education of the municipalities that make up the Commonwealth to take advantage of the existing administrative infrastructure.
This adhesion was made through an appendix through which the will of the entity is documented and ratified by the "Promotion, participation and cooperation in the provision of municipal educational competencies, as well as in sports and care for people for the entire population of the Marina Alta, as well as those other public services that contribute to meet the needs and aspirations of the neighborhood community of the Navy and that the Commonwealth can assume within the scope of its competences ".
