Last Thursday the Agrarian Council of Xàbia chaired by the councilor of Agriculture, Tere Bisquert, held its first meeting of the legislature.
The main topic that was discussed in the meeting was the one referring to the campaign of cleaning plots, something essential in the summer months before the danger of any fire.
On the other hand it was agreed that next week representatives of Amjasa Hold a meeting with the farmers to give an account of the state of the implementation of the Integral Water Cycle and what work has already been done.
This agrarian council is composed of municipal representatives, agrarian organizations, unions, community of irrigators and Municipal Agrarian Service. The representative of the PSOE is, José Bolufer. The Popular Party is represented by Joaquín Ribes, while Salvador Cruanyes is the one who defends the interests of Compromís. As for the agrarian organizations, Juan Antonio Miñana represents AVA, Francisco José Cervera at La Unió, Francisco Signes at Coag. The trade union part is represented by Consuelo Navarro of Comisiones Obreras. Juan Moragues on the part of the Community of Regantes and Bartolomé Torres on the part of the Municipal Agrarian Service.
