The past 22 of November, the young student of the Conservatory of Music of Jávea, María Garijo García, achieved a second prize in the category of group A in the Children's Piano Prize XVIII Santa Cecilia organized by the D. Juan de Borbón Foundation in Segovia.
The main objective of this contest is to promote cultural activity in the city of Leon and, especially, in the province of which the city is the capital.
The jury of this edition went to people Miguel Bustamante, renowned composer, pianist, critic and writer; pianists Pablo Martos, Sophia Hase and Carmen Cantalejo and critic Rafael Aznar. They appreciated the skill and talent of Marta Garijo who has already demonstrated his abilities in May this year by winning the first National Contest of Music of Malaga.
Jávea Conservatory wants to show his satisfaction with the award obtained by the young and wish him a prosperous and long history.
