The Civil Guard has issued a statement explaining the data on the investigation of the possible sexual aggression occurred in Pego last July of 2018 in which could have involved four minors.
According to the report of the Civil Guard, the events occurred one afternoon of the month of July of the past year 2018, in an area of wasteland, near the cemetery of Pego. The victim and a friend went for a walk with four boys, of Maghrebi origin, whom they knew because they were all high school classmates. At one point, the friend of the victim had to leave and she was left alone with the alleged aggressors, who forced him to move to a nearby wasteland, where the denounced events took place.
Statements to the educational center
In October of 2018, the victim told the people in charge of the school that she had a problem with her high school classmate, who was threatening to broadcast a video, without telling her content. The youngest also related that, one day last summer, she had stayed with a friend and that there was also a group of boys, whom she fully identified as students of the same institute. That at one point her friend left and left her alone with the boys, saying that something happened, without specifying what, and that they had recorded it, reiterating her concern about the possible dissemination of the aforementioned video.
At the end of February of 2019, the guidance counselor of the school interviewed again with the minor and, on this occasion, she did tell him the totality of what happened. The facts were brought to the attention of the Civil Guard, who immediately took charge of the investigation, through the Judicial Police Team of the Civil Guard of Jávea, supported by agents specializing in the action against acts of this type, in which the victims are women or minors.
Formal complaint in March
The complaint was finally formalized by the victim on March 1, resulting in the arrest, the 5 of March, of three of the four minors, allegedly authors of the events, as the fourth resides in France from
late last year 2018.
The three minors detained testified in police headquarters, assisted by a lawyer and accompanied by their legal representatives.
Now, the Department of New Technologies of the Civil Guard is analyzing the content of mobile phones operated on minors, in order to verify the existence of possible video recordings about these events.
Yesterday, 28 of March of 2019, the three minors who reside in Spain appeared before the Judge of Minors of Alicante, decreeing their internment, in closed regime, in different centers of minors, as well as the prohibition of approaching the victim and to contact her by any means. The investigation continues open, to determine the degree of participation of the minor room involved in the events.
