The Civil Guard of Alicante, within the framework of the operation voltor21, has arrested a man as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against public health and two crimes of fraud of electricity.
With an investigation carried out in just three days, an indoor marijuana plantation has been dismantled, seizing 548 marijuana plants and almost 6 kilograms of dried buds ready for distribution.
The proceedings began on February 15, after the possible existence of a marijuana plantation in the town of Parcent was detected by the Xaló Civil Guard. The facts were immediately brought to the attention of the Benissa-Moraira Research Area, which started the operation.
In just three days, the Civil Guard carried out a quick investigation to locate the author, request the Judicial Authority to search the homes, and proceed to arrest the person implicated.
Agents quickly determined the identity of the man who managed the two plantations. He had established an agreement with the owner of the two properties, which allowed him to reside in either of them without paying any rental fee in exchange for keeping the houses well-kept. It was a person with a long history of public health records, for various drug trafficking offenses.
On February 18, with the support of several Citizen Security patrols from the Xaló, Benissa, Moraira and Callosa d'en Sarriá Posts, the Company's Citizen Security Unit (USECIA) of Calpe and the Service
Cynological of the Alicante Command, the simultaneous entry and registration of both houses was carried out.
In the searches carried out in the two houses, the agents found an indoor marijuana plantation, with 548 plants in different stages of growth and a large amount of material for the cultivation, production and distribution of narcotic substances. In addition to about 5.950 grams of dried and packaged marijuana buds, ready for distribution.
The alleged perpetrator, who was arrested on the same day 18, is a 40-year-old man, of Spanish nationality, who is charged with a crime against public health and two crimes of fraud of electricity. On February 22, the Investigating Court of Denia decreed his entry into prison.
