The Plenary of the Consell has authorized to the Public Entity of Saneamiento of Residual Waters (EPSAR), assigned to the Conselleria of Agriculture, Environment, Climatic Change and Rural Development, the hiring of the service of operation and maintenance of the system of sanitation and purification of waste water from Xàbia, for an amount of 6.714.042,36 euros.
This decision is given because the current contract ends in June of 2018 and thus the contracting procedure is launched in order to continue providing the service to users. The purification plant of the municipality xabiero covers a population of more than 24.000 people.
Xabia WWTP should be managed by the City, is more than amortized, with the money that goes from Xabia to Valencia there to manage it and pay wages, leaving the industrial benefit for Javea.
