Just a month ago, the Mª Inmaculada School organized a solidary snack in favor of Olaya. Thanks to this initiative, which involved both families belonging to the school and neighbors of Xàbia, a total of 1800 euros were collected.
Although the collection was destined to Olaya's family for the expenses of the trips to Madrid for the treatment of the little one, the mother asked the School for permission to deliver it to the AHUCE Foundation. And, the Olaya family, has found much help and support thanks to this Foundation, which is dedicated to research to find advances that improve or get to cure Osteogenesis imperfecta (the disease of crystal bones), which Olaya suffers.
Of course, the Mª Inmaculada de Jávea School gave the consent and on Monday the delivery of this economic donation became effective. From the AHUCE Foundation, they thanked this contribution, and pointed out, through social networks, that the 1800 euros "they will contribute to the attainment of the foundational aims among which it is to encourage and support the investigation of osteogenesis imperfecta".
Olaya's mother, Laura Goberna, has indicated that she expects this contribution to be a grain of sand so that progress continues to be made. "And hopefully, with everyone's collaboration, there may be a cure in the long run".
