The Minister of Health, Ana Barceló, explained in the appearance of this Tuesday, that yesterday (Monday), the Ministry of Health was asked to go to Phase 2 of the entire Valencian Community for next week. The head of Health at the Consell has indicated that she considers that the data we are obtaining are positive and endorse the passage of phase 2.
The request for this change is due to the good results that are being obtained on the evolution of the coronavirus. Barceló has highlighted that 8 out of 10 positive cases are no longer active, "There are only 211 people admitted, of which 29 are in the ICU." Likewise, the minister has clarified that only 19% remain active.
Regarding discharges, there has been an increase of 62% since the beginning of May, with a total of 24 occurring in the last 68 hours. In new positive cases, 32 new infections have been detected by PCR, which brings the number to 11.112. Total number of people who have been affected by COVID-19 since the pandemic began.
In deaths, four have been registered throughout the Community, being the sixth consecutive day without there being any in the province of Castellón.
