The School of Music and Dance of Benitatxell has received a grant of € 41.600 from the Ministry of Education

The School of Music and Dance of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell has received a grant of 41.600 euros from the Department of Education, Research, Culture and Sports.

The aid that has been given to this school at this year constitutes the largest amount of granted throughout the Valencian Community.

According said the director of the School of Music and Dance, Antonio Catalá "the amount of the subsidy guarantees our professionalism as a center, we can say that although we are a school, impart the same specialties and have the same performance as a conservatory. There has been valued both the wide range of courses and qualifications of teachers. Also noteworthy contests, concerts exchange and extracurricular activities we do in the center".

The school currently has approximately 180 number of students enrolled in the fields of music and dance in 90. The school also has 13 3 music teachers and dance.

The center teaches in the fields of flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, horn, trombone, euphonium, tuba, flute, piano, guitar, garden and musical initiation, percussion and instrumental ensembles.

Among the latter include the youth band, the percussion group, the saxophone orchestra, the colla dulzaineros and the choral ensemble.

As for the modalities dance school teaches ballet, traditional dances, modern dance and oriental dance.
