El Javea Town Hall continues with the vaccination campaign against gender violence, this week the campaign has reached the IES Antoni Llidó and the IES Number One. Another of the locations where the information table has been installed has been at the Thursday market.
In Xàbia the campaign has achieved more than 800 accessions thanks to the information tables that have been installed this week in secondary schools and today in the weekly market. Some points that have been attended by several of the councilors of the City Council, as Montse Villaverde, Marta Bañuls, Pepa Gisbert or Isabel Bolufer, and women representatives of associations such as Housewives, Women Entrepreneurs or Red Cross.
At the tables it has been informing about the means to fight against sexist violence and collecting the commitment of the neighbors to take an active attitude in its eradication.
This action closes the programming promoted by the Department of Equality in the framework of the commemoration of the International Day of the fight against gender violence. However, soon there will be new activities focused on combating this social scourge.
This campaign is organized by the Matria Association and has the collaboration of different associations of women as well as the municipalities of Xàbia, Dénia, Benissa, Orba, Teulada and Pedreguer.
Free self defense workshop for women
On December 13 Sunday, the Dojo Do Jávea Club will offer a free personal defense workshop for women. It will be from 10 to 13 hours at the Palau d'Esports Miguel Buigues and there are 20 places available that will be allocated in order of reservation. There are also planned activities aimed at specific groups such as a course on gender equality and coeducation for teachers and co-education workshops for primary as "Oliver Button is a babe" or "Disney Woman world"(also called deprincessing workshop) and for ESO students, entitled"The myth of romantic love"And a campaign to make micromachismos visible.
