The Xàbia Municipal Library increases its funds with 8.000 new volumes donated by Eduard Mira
Eduard Mira, sociologist, doctor of Geography and History, writer and member of the Valencian Academy of Language has donated to the Xàbia Municipal Library around 8.000 volumes of Valencian cultural themes, sociology and urbanism.
The mayor of Xàbia, José Chulvi, has highlighted the figure of Mira, who represents one of the essential landmarks of Valencian culture. Today, Eduard Mira, from his Customs house, still constructs a narrative, suggestive and powerful work. "This donation of almost 8.000 volumes has an extraordinary value and will be very useful for the residents of Xàbia", says the first mayor xabiero.
Mira has thanked the presence of municipal representatives and friends and has indicated that some of the books he has donated are written in his Customs house.
