The president of the Artistic Musical Center of Xàbia, Manolo Berenguer, has said that the band is preparing the international comxicotetion of València on Friday 19 of July, at the Palau de la Música. While they wait they continue the rehearsals in the multipurpose room of Portal del Clot.
In order to prepare the contest, he will exchange papers with the Alberic band, which will also participate in the special section. Therefore, this Saturday 6 will be the band of Alberic acting on the sports track of the Freginal, and on 16 day the Xàbia band will perform at Alberic.
The director of the Xàbia band, Carles Samblancat, commented that "This activity is normal when preparing a contest", highlighting that it is fortunate that they are visited by a band from the special section, the band from Alberic, which has more than a hundred musicians who will perform a very modern and very bandistic repertoire. For this reason, Samblancat considers that it is for Xàbia a luxury to have a band like Valencian.
Several places had been shuffled for Saturday's concert, but due to the number of musicians, the Freginal track has been chosen, which has more capacity and can house 1000 people. However, it is not a new place for them since a few years ago it was already used for a festival of bands.
From the directive of the band of Xàbia they hope that the people go there since it is a great opportunity to hear a band of music of the first section. The band will perform a parade from the Placeta del Convent to the Freginal, where the entrance is free.
