La Movida Valenciana organizes its traditional summer music festival and does it in Xàbia. The appointment will be on Friday, August 12, at the Hacienda nightclub.
La Movida Valenciana is a platform for Valencian musicians from the big bands of the '80s-'90s such as Glamour, Swan Committee, The Inhumans, Revolver, Video, Betty Troupe, Orfeón Brutal, La Banda del Pop, False Passion, etc., which continue to be active in order to continue disseminating the music that marked an entire generation.
Its trajectory as a promoter of prestigious events has been consolidated since 2008 with more than 50 concerts and artistic shows, among which is, CELEBRATION, which since 2016 has been the most prestigious summer event for the public that loves pop-rock and funky music, combining the experience in organizing musical events of La Movida Valenciana with a unique live music program.
In addition to having some prestigious DJs, such as the Funky Lawyers or DJ Gecko, the highlight of this festival based in Xàbia will be The Band of the Movida Valenciana', an exclusive formation of the events of this platform made up of legendary musicians from the great Valencian groups of the best years of pop-rock, such as
José Luis Macías, Adolfo Barberá, Sergio Aguado, Jorge Moreno, Abelito Sanabria, Quique López and Salva Pérez. These artists will get together exprofeso to perform a unique selection of the best national-international pop and funky-disco songs of the time such as: Simple Minds, Soft Cell, Blondie, Depeche Mode, Alaska, Danza Invisible, The Jackson 5, Gloria Gaynor, John Paul Young and many others, in an exclusive and very fun concert that will culminate with a tribute to ABBA led by the two most acclaimed female voices of the moment: Aisha Bordas and Nita Songs.
