Come good news for the Humane Association of Xàbia, (APASA), as it has reached an agreement with the city council to participate in the design of future municipal dog pound. A facility that will be located in the Ramblars, away from the town center and away from private homes. It has been chosen Ramblars area for the location of this kennel to respect the canons health, safety and comfort required and, at the same time not pose a nuisance for neighbors.
The new space will be equipped with the best sanitary conditions and service will be shared with Apasa management area, where abandoned animals like they are doing today will be addressed. This will mean that there is not no animal sacrifice, although the pound will be limited the number of dogs as it marks the current regulations.
Maintaining this facility will be maintained with municipal funds according to the agreement to be established with the contributions made by partners Apasa and the proceeds of the activities carried out annually by the association.
Both the Mayor of Xàbia, José ChulviAs the president of Apasa, Mandy Conway, they have valued very positively this new period of cooperation.
