El Javea Town Hall and the Local Cancer Board have organized a talk on the occasion of International Cancer Day, next Friday, February 2, which will be attended by the doctor specialized in Radiation Oncology, Pablo Soler.
The talk will take place at House of Culture starting at 18:00 p.m. and aims to become a space for reflection and learning, delving into cancer and the impact of the disease, as reported by the Xàbia City Council through a statement.
The Local Cancer Board has recalled that this disease "does not discriminate and affects everyone" and has highlighted that Dr. Soler will offer the keys to "Radiotherapy and Cancer, a future with optimism", in which he will explain the crucial importance of radiotherapy in oncological treatment.
«Radiotherapy represents approximately 60% of the therapeutic strategies available for cancer patients. With significant technological advances, high-quality, precise and effective radiotherapy has been achieved. These advances allow us to achieve high rates of disease control, while minimizing the side effects of the treatment," said Dr. Soler.
The Local Board of Jávea invites the entire population to participate in this enlightening talk, which "will not only provide valuable information about cancer, but will also promote a message of hope and optimism in the search for solutions."
