Apparently, as indicated by the Councilor for Economic Development, Marta Bañuls, These dates were not conducive to merchants since last week the one in Dénia was already held. "Several merchants, both from Xàbia and from the municipalities of the region showed interest in participating but this weekend they could not," said the mayor. In this way, Xàbia works for a new commercial initiative for next December.
Bañuls has pointed out that although the days of celebration are still being studied, it may take place during the bridge taking advantage of the arrival of visitors and the imminent Christmas holidays. But this time, the fair will not only be a stock fair, but "a large-scale fair, with a different format and that includes craft stalls and other alternative activities," the mayor said. This option would be to recover, although in another format, the Fira d'Art i Nadal that took place years ago.
The intention from the Department of Economic Development is to encourage purchases in local businesses and continue working to provide actions that benefit small businesses.
