After almost 13 years, Manolo Berenguer leaves his position as president of the Xàbia Artistic Musical Center. The relay is taken by Juan Antonio Sapena, music of the Banda de Xàbia. Sapena's candidacy was the only one that was presented at the Assembly held last Friday.
Juan Antonio Sapena takes office in one of the most critical for the Center Artístic Musical, the celebration of Santa Cecilia, the patron saint of musicians.
For his part, Manolo Berenguer and his board of directors leave the activity in the front line with a more than positive balance in the more than 12 years that they have been in charge of the musical group. Berenguer has pointed to Xàbia.com that a lot of work has been done "but many challenges have been achieved, including the creation of the Orchestra of the Center Artístic Musical, previously non-existent".
Berenguer has indicated that throughout his tenure he has done everything in his power to take the musicians of Xàbia to the top, "we have attended different comxicotetions and auditoriums among which the Palau d'Arts de Valencia stands out."
Both Berenguer and the members that make up the Center Artístic Musical wish Juan Antonio Sapena good luck in this new journey in front of the Center Artístic Musical de Xàbia.
