Last Friday the Cavall Verd Awards of La Vall de Laguar for Story and Poetry took place. A literary contest, which has held its first edition, and with which language and culture are dignified within the framework of the October 9 celebration.
The winners of this first edition were the xabiero, Josep Vicent Miralles in narrative for the story The Xarxa and Blai Carles Villa Català, in the poetry category, for the collection of poems Three countries for a country sense winter, which received € 600 of the corresponding prize.
These awards were organized by the Town hall of La Vall de Laguar with the support of the Alicante Provincial Council and the collaboration of the MACMA (Mancomunitat Cultural de la Marina Alta). This first edition had a high turnout and a high quality in terms of the originals presented, as assessed by the members of a jury made up of the writer Elvira Cambrils and the writers Joan Mascarell and Jovi Lozano-Seser, the latter representing the MACMA.
