day of solidarity for the benefit of voluntary groups

Due to the numerous requests received in the Town hall to carry out charity and solidarity acts in order to raise funds for the benefit of Civil Protection and Volunteer Firefighters of Balcón al Mar, the Xàbia City Council has organized, for this coming Saturday, a solidarity day in the Plaça de la Constitució. Throughout the day, the people who wanted to collaborate, in some way, for the causes of the fire, will impart, for all the public who want it, different beneficial activities, such as zumba and pilates classes. In addition, there will be an exhibition of vintage cars and Civil Protection volunteers will also exhibit some of their vehicles and materials.

All money raised will be paid into the account authorized by the City of Xàbia to collect financial donations that will be used to alleviate part of the damage caused by the fires. Likewise, people who wish may donate to the account number: ES15 0081 1045 90 0001413245, and also, they can write an email to participacion.ciudadana@ajxabia.org and report the amount donated there. At the end of the campaign, a list of the money given will be published and a breakdown of which items will be used.

Donations already made

Last week 1.400 was given to Civil Protection euros corresponding to the collection for the sale of T-shirts with the slogan Xàbia semper Verda. T-shirts that were created to promote Xàbia during the stage of the Tour of Cycling. On the other hand, this weekend, another charity day took place. On this occasion, the stage was the terrace of Laguna Ribs and was organized for the benefit of Volunteer Firemen from Balcón al Mar.
