Joan Buigues is one of the eleven members of the band "La Romantica del Saladar", created in 1994, specializes in popular music: mazurka, polkas, chotis, habaneras, waltzes, marches and pasodobles blackberries. Buigues joined 11 years ago to continue training and many more as they are more than a group of musicians.
All the components of the band come from the band?
Yes, we are people who have come from different bands and many are music professionals with higher education. We are people who do traditional music band.
Are ye well known not only regional level?
We have spent many years bringing our music to many places, not only the country Valencia and I think we've earned that recognition is very important to us.
In your upcoming concert you shall offer something new in your repertoire?
We do traditional music and that means that the pieces we play are well known. In our recent work done last year, "A stop Puerto Rico" We made a compilation of songs we do live and we'd never recorded.
Happy now how was the last album?
Yes. It is a good very fresh, lively and where the public can participate in both dancing and singing work.
What is one of your identity?
I think Romàntica the Saladar is a holiday, we are looking to have fun and have a good time the public. Always in our actions we seek audience participation. Of these we realized when we went to play Catalonia, there we saw how people were protagonist of the show itself, participating in dancing and singing, interacting with artists.
How do you have the concert schedule?
It is quite loose, since it appeared the crisis shows. We have been fortunate to participate in comxicotetions where they had council grants for our kind of music. This has been greatly reduced, but we are playing at parties of people to be hired by party committees. We will be in the procession of San Francisco here. On May 3 in Rafol d`Almunia we'll play with Urbalia Rurana and anything else outside the region.
What is the current health of the group?
We are a group of friends, from the beginning in the formation have been many changes, we continue renewing depending on how everyone is doing his own life. We get along very well and no band for a long time.
