Next Monday a series of activities are launched that will serve to open the mouth of the international Xàbia Jazz festival. And what better way to open your mouth than "Jazz al plat", an initiative created by several restaurants and bars in the municipality that will offer a set of tasting menus that include tickets to one of the concerts. This menu plus entry that has a cost of 35 euros, can be found in Bistro Casa Grau, Castelló, Embruix, Mezquida, La Musa, Parador de Xàbia, La Renda, El Rodat, Sur, La Trastienda, Trencall and El Trinquet. Consumers will be able to find an alternative to this tasting menu, a tapas menu plus entry for 25 euros offered at Aperitius El Rebost, Boca Boca, Casa Mía, Embruix, Bar Montgó, Bar José, Mediterranean Taberna, La Yesca.
But the offer does not end here, since on Tuesday, July 30, the "Jazz Cinema" will begin in the riu rau d'Arnauda, place where for four nights, the relationship of this musical genre with different perspectives will be approached the seventh art. The round table "The sound experimentation in jazz and its influence on multidisciplinary artistic practice" will begin this activity on Tuesday at 21:00 p.m. The discussion group will be formed by José Romero (Polytechnic of Valencia), Francisco Cerdá Bañón (Center for Studies City of Light), Jorge Fornieles Álvarez (Escola de teatre Riurau de Xàbia) and Mikail Karaali (Devlet Konservatuvari Sakarya Universitesi of Turkey). The program will continue on Wednesday 31 with a screening of short films that reflect the relationship between cinema, music and dance. The first movie sound film, "The jazz singer" will be screened on August 1. And the last activity will be the eve of the festival with a guitar concert by Juan Soler.
On the opening day of Xàbia Jazz, the exhibition "The jazz problem" will also open its doors. The exhibition will be until the end of the month at Cactus Club Shop, located in Sor María Gallart street. To complete the offer of the Xàbia Jazz, the organization of the festival and the association of businessmen Xàbia Histórico, they will raffle five tickets through social networks.
