Launch of the language exchange program 'Let's talk more'

The language exchange program "let's talk", Which promotes the council of Attention to the Resident of Xàbia, began with a great success of participation.

They are nearly a hundred residents of different nationalities who have signed up to this formula to improve their oral expression of language. The system uses the multicultural richness of the census to form groups of people with different mother tongues to make them weekly, either for a coffee or perform daily activities such as shopping, and so help each other to improve fluency in conversation and wealth vocabulary in a different language.

The councilor responsible for this program, Doris Courcelles, welcomed the participants in "Let's talk"And he explained that five groups of English-Spanish, one of French-Spanish and one of German-Spanish will be formed, in addition to the way of functioning.

Also the mayor, José Chulvi, was present at the beginning of the course and congratulated all those who make this initiative possible, which highlights "the strength of the solidarity actions of integration and the enormous potential that we have when we work together, we open ourselves to others and we overcome the barriers of what is different".

Chulvi specified that this program reinforces such an important aspect as training in foreign languages, "a development factor we should care in a town like Xàbia, which is cozy with so many nationalities and whose economy depends heavily on tourism".

He also highlighted the social and integration function because through these meetings "reinforcing ties between people and the sense of community".
