The Professional Conservatory of Music of Xàbia has received an important gift from a family of residents settled in the municipality. It is a piano and a good quality organ, as well as a significant collection of scores and scripts.
The instruments were owned by Christiaan Wüst, an amateur pianist recently deceased. Despite the great sentimental value of the pianos that had accompanied his father all his life, his children wanted them to be in a place where they were useful and thought that the Conservatory of Xàbia was a good destination. That is why David Wüst and his wife Samantha Hinneman contacted the heads of the municipal music training center and proposed the donation.
As explained by the Conservatory, the piano and the organ are already in the classrooms and will serve so that the children of the municipality have better means for their education. The piano will be used in the instrument classes as well as in the orchestra or chamber music, while the organ will be used for chorus and accompaniment.
Both the professors and the councilor of Culture, Quico Moragues, they have thanked this important donation to the Wüst.
