This year, the Ribera health group has donated 35.000 kilos of basic and essential products to different organizations with a food bank for people in need, with the aim of allocating the budget that before the Covid was reserved for Christmas events for social causes. As the group did last Christmas, social entities from the five regions in which Ribera is present, have received the donation these days, which will help thousands of families in the shopping cart this holiday season.
In addition, in the context of the 11th edition of Give & Gain and the Week of Solidarity Action and Business Volunteering, organized by Forética from December 10 to 20, the Ribera group has organized its first multicenter corporate volunteering, which has allowed professionals from their health centers, the laboratory, the technology division and their offices, to participate as volunteers in different tasks of the Casa de la Caridad de Valencia, the Astor de Torrejón association, Conciénciate de Elche, the Red Cross of Denia, the Food Bank of Vigo and Cáritas of the Region of Murcia, among others.
Both initiatives are part of Ribera's "Healthy Company" program, which seeks to facilitate emotional rewards to its human team, so these actions involve motivation, teamwork, unity and incentive for its professionals. The university hospitals of Torrejón, and Vinalopó, the Hospital of Dénia, the Ribera Povisa, Ribera Santa Justa, Ribera Almendralejo and Ribera Hospital de Molina hospitals have participated, in addition to the FutuRS technological subsidiary, the Ribera Lab central laboratory and the purchasing center Ribera b2b. The Ribera Juan Cardona hospital in Ferrol has organized a solidarity collection of toys for children from families at risk, which it will donate to the Galicia Dignity Association.
In addition, the health group has encouraged the professionals of its health centers to collaborate with the Christmas decorations of the different services, with a very good reception on their part, which has helped to deepen the humanization of the rooms that patients frequent. In this way, a greater number of spaces will dress up for Christmas these holidays, in addition to the traditional tree that is placed in all Ribera hospitals and that, in many of them, help to decorate the patients themselves, with paper stars in which they write their wishes for next year.
