This Tuesday the Consell de Cultura del Javea Town Hall, a meeting that served to address the issues related to cultural acts and infrastructures of the municipality and what was planned for the year that has just begun.

One of the topics discussed was the future use of Central Cinema. In this regard, the Mayor of Xàbia, José Chulvi, explained that the City Council is not going to abandon the intention to give it a use, and therefore is seeking advice through CulturArts to make a general study of all infrastructures with cultural use that Xàbia has and based on the shortcomings, see what function the Central Cinema can assume.

The new auditorium was also placed on the table. Both Chulvi and Quico Moragues, councilor of culture, explained that the Consistory is now thinking and making consultations to define the most appropriate management model for when it is time to open it. It should be noted that the new building will be the only one in the region with the necessary infrastructure to make operas or theaters that involve changing sets, as well as the added value that makes it accessible for people with hearing problems when it is used as a venue for congresses, for example.

Of the cultural programming planned for this year, Moragues highlighted anniversaries of local musical groups; as the 25 anniversary of Ars Nova, the tenth of Xirimitab's or the fifth of them Tradidanses of the Portitxol Group.
